The course is filled with information that will help you learn how to expand upon techniques to focus on helping people with sinus problems, headaches and much more. It will also help teach you how to work with individuals who are in discomfort and seeking treatment. This course is ideal for beginners with no massage experience, massage therapists who want to expand upon their practice or the general  public who suffer headaches and stress or knows someone who does.

Learning Outcomes

To maintain safe and effective methods of working when providing Indian head massage treatments and to maintain your responsibilities for health & safety throughout the treatment.

  • History of Indian Massage
  • The functioning of muscular system and muscles of the face, neck and upper back
  • The skeletal system of upper body: facial and skull bones, shoulder girdle and the spine
  • Circulatory system and venous drainage from head and neck
  • To consult, plan and prepare for Indian head massage treatments. To always maintain your client’s modesty and privacy and position your client to meet the needs of the treatment without causing them discomfort ensuring your own posture and working methods minimise fatigue and the risk of injury to yourself and others. Adapt your massage techniques, sequence, and massage medium to meet the client’s physical characteristics and treatment areas vary the depth, rhythm, and pressure of massage techniques to meet treatment objectives, treatment areas and the client’s physical characteristics and preferences
  • To perform an Indian head massage treatment and the benefits it has
  • To ensure environmental conditions are suitable for the client and the treatment.
  • Use working methods that minimise the risk of cross-infection and to ensure the use of clean equipment and materials.
  • Follow workplace and suppliers’ or manufacturers’ instructions for the safe use of equipment, materials and products and dispose of waste materials to meet legal requirement.
  • Be able to complete the treatment within a reasonable time. Consult, plan and prepare for Indian head massage treatments use consultation techniques to determine the client’s treatment plan.
  • Recognise any contra-indications and take the necessary action.
  • Ensure your client’s records are completed and signed by you and the client. How to recognise contra-indications that would prevent or restrict the treatment. The contra-indications requiring medical referral and why the necessary action to take in relation to specific contra-indications when referring clients.
  • Why it is important to communicate with clients in a professional manner.

Indian head massage for non-experienced Therapists (slower pace)  £229 for 2 days

£199 for 1.5 days ( 14 CPD points)

Cancellation within 36 hours of booked time – 50% of treatment payable.

NOT SHOWING for your appointment or less than 36 hours’ notice – 100% of treatment payable.

These fees will need to be paid before another appointment can be booked. Please note that if you are late for your appointment, it will have an effect on the time of your treatment and your time will be reduced to ensure smooth running of the Beauty cabin for the day to be achieved.
